Comments: Beautiful scenery along the railway. The railroad has two tracks so as to handle both directions simultaneously. The highway also follows the railroad for much of the run between Vancouver and Banff.
Phil Mackesy adds, "The two tracks between Vancouver and Banff are actually two separate railroads - CN and CP.... but they share the canyon route, one line for all westbound and one line for eastbound traffic."
