My family made a great trip to Alliance, Ohio in October to watch trains from the station.  My children enthusiastically recorded locomotive road names and numbers plus counted the freight cars.  While train watching, we met  Joe Lewis who took us to the nearby town of Sebring to visit his model railroad club.  The huge layout and a large collection of railroading memorabilia are contained in an old train depot which the club owns and maintains.  Later in the weekend, my good friend Carl Luther and his daughters drove up in their mini van and accompanied us in our train watching.
